School Day
The school day runs from 8:45am until 3:15pm.
The school gates open at 8:45am. To support a calm, safe and organised start to the day, classroom doors will open at the following times:
· Nursery to Year 2: 8:45am
· Year 3 to Year 6: 8:50am
We ask that all children arrive on time each day. Punctuality is essential, as arriving promptly allows children to settle into class, take part in morning routines and be ready to begin learning with their peers. Late arrivals can cause disruption to learning and may mean children miss important teaching and information at the start of the school day.
The school gates will be locked promptly at 9:00am. Any child arriving after this time must enter the school via the main entrance. A parent or carer must accompany their child to the school office, where they will be required to sign them in before the child can go to class.
We appreciate your support in helping your child arrive at school on time every day. Good punctuality is an important part of good attendance and plays a significant role in ensuring children make the most of every learning opportunity.
Children in KS1 will have two playtimes during the school day.
Children in KS2 will have a 15-minute morning break during the school day, providing them with time to rest, play and recharge before continuing with their learning.
